1. Information We Collect
TrackHUD collects minimal data, all of which is stored locally on your device. None of this data is linked to your identity or transmitted to external servers. The following types of data may be collected depending on how you use the app:
- Precise Location — used for app functionality (trip logging and mapping songs to locations)
- Coarse Location — used for app functionality (reverse geocoding to auto-name your trips)
- Performance Data — used for analytics (collected by Apple to help us monitor app stability)
2. Location Data
TrackHUD accesses your device's location to tag each song change with GPS coordinates and to plot your listening history on a map. With your permission, TrackHUD may also access your location in the background to automatically track your drives and map the songs you hear along the way, even when the app is not in the foreground. Location data is also used with Apple's geocoding service to auto-name your trips (e.g., "Brooklyn Evening Drive"). All location data is stored locally on your device. We do not transmit, sell, or share your location data with any third parties.
3. Apple Music Integration
TrackHUD reads the currently playing song from Apple Music (title, artist, album, and playback duration) to build your personal listening history and insights. This requires your permission to access your media library. All listening data is processed and stored entirely on your device and is never shared externally.
4. Diagnostics
Apple may collect anonymized performance and crash data on our behalf through its standard diagnostics service. This data is not linked to your identity and is used solely to improve app stability. TrackHUD does not use any third-party analytics SDKs.
5. In-App Purchases
TrackHUD offers auto-renewable subscriptions processed entirely by the Apple App Store using StoreKit. We do not store or handle your payment information. All transactions are managed by Apple, subject to Apple's Terms of Use (EULA).
6. Third-Party Services
TrackHUD does not use any third-party SDKs, analytics services, or advertising frameworks. The app relies exclusively on Apple first-party frameworks. No data is sent to external servers.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
